I had a really disappointing experience with Auto Air South that left a bad taste in my mouth. I brought my car in for an A/C diagnostic after calling ahead to confirm the price. They told me it was a flat $125 fee for the diagnostic. I specifically asked before dropping the car off, and the person I spoke with confirmed it would just be $125. When I picked it up, though, they charged me $150 for Freon and dye on top of that, which I felt should have been included. They diagnosed the issue and quoted me over $6,000 to replace the entire A/C system. I decided to get a second opinion, and another shop was able to fix everything for around $2,000. Looking back, it’s clear the quote from Auto Air South was extremely inflated the parts alone were priced three to four times higher than what I could buy them for myself or what the other shop charged. On top of that, I dropped the car off with a full tank of gas and got it back with less than a quarter tank, with the gas light on. I understand some fuel gets used during testing, but this was excessive. It honestly made me wonder if they were driving it around more than necessary while it was in their shop. ⚠️ They are all certified technicians. I took my car here because the A/C went out. They fixed it, but I had to bring it back because they had wires hanging under the glove box. The total cost was 3,800.00 and it was time for me to change the cabin filter and when I attempted to change it, there was no filter and no cabin filter cover was on it. I understand that the work is out of warranty but my point is, no technician put a filter or cover on the A/C cabin. In addition, wires continue to hang and I will add photos to support the work. It’s definitely not a place you would want so called “professionals “ to work on your car. I will be sure to escalate this complaint. I called and explained to the man who answered the phone and he acted as if it wasn’t an issue. He kept me on hold for 4-5 to tell me that a manager would call me but of course she has not called. It’s the NY state of mind. New York techs with no paperwork is the deal and I’m from the Tri-state so I know how they move. It’s all good though 💯 👀.

I love getting my car repaired at this shop. The customer service is great. The technician that worked on my car took pride in there work.

Horrible scammers. I took my car early am after calling late afternoon and vehicle wasn’t ready I began to worry, they finally called at 4:38pm to tell me it would be $1400 to fix. I reluctantly pd the diagnostic fee of $140. But something told me to get a 2nd opinion and when I did I was in the new shop 15minutes to find out my car blew a fuse. Apparently when this establishment said we take care of veterans they meant it in the wrong way. These ppl clearly don’t know what they’re doing and if they rip off disabled veterans they’ll rip you off. Please take your business elsewhere. This really hurt my feelings for I truly believe in the golden rule.

Got my car back with damage on the side and wasn’t told about it. They also destroyed my new A/c compressor that was put on prior to taking it to them. Definitely wouldn’t recommend them!
